A new and growing sport - Ratting! Handlers and dogs will be taught how to search for, find and mark real live rats. Rats! Canada and Barn Hunt Association (BHA) rules and games are taught. Dogs will be shown how to safely climb bales which searching, as well as dive in to hay bale tunnels. Rats are kept safe and happy in large PVC tubes - this keeps both the rat and dog safe from each other. All rats participating in class are the trained pets of the Instructor Julie and are raised in the same home as her two dogs. These rats have been bred specifically for their calm temperment, and easy nature around dogs. Session Length: 8-weeks Class Length: 1-hour Fee (includes taxes): $271.20 Instructor: Julie Connor, Rats! Canada Judge Class dates: October 27th, November 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, December 1st, 8th, 15th No classes: No cancelations anticipated. 1. Indoor shoes are required if using the indoor crating area. 2. There is a $25 cleaning fee for each potty accident that occurs indoors. 3. Crates are required for all dogs attending this class. This is for the safety of all dogs, handlers, and instructors. I liue of a crate handlers may keep their dogs in their car between turns.
