Description

This class is for teams that have graduated from our Rally Foundations class (or approved equivalent). Students are introduced to all remaining signs at the CARO Novice, Advanced and Excellent levels and will begin working on obstacle training (jumps, tunnels, weaves) In this class handlers and dogs can expect to learn new and grow existing skills such as: • Transitions dogs from on-leash to off-leash heeling (as appropriate) • Progressing perch skills and perfecting pivots • How to focus and work with food and toy distractions • Stays for Judges’ exam, positions changes at a distance, and recalls Teams will also be introduced to versatility skills that require the dog to change heeling sides while in motion. *Training Methods* Instructors are proficient in positive training methods and will use luring, targeting, and shaping training methods to help handlers and dogs progress their knowledge and skills. The use of food, toys, life-rewards (swimming, sniffing) play, praise and petting are all strongly encouraged. Session Length: 8-weeks Class Length: 1-hour Fee (includes taxes): $271.20 Instructor: Tara Goldak Class Cancellations: December 22 and 29 (Holiday break) Please note that any classes that need to be cancelled due to instructor illness or extreme weather will be rescheduled for the end of the 8-week session. No refunds or credits will be issued for any makeup classes that cannot be attended by the student. 1. Indoor shoes are required if this class is to be held indoors. Please always pack and clean, dry pair of comfortable shoes. 2. There is a $25 cleaning fee for each potty accident that occurs indoors. 3. Crates are required for all dogs attending this class. This is for the safety of all dogs, handlers, and instructors. Instead of a crate handlers may keep their dogs in their car between turns.


Cancellation Policy

1. A full refund will be issued for all cancellations that occur more than 7 days before the start time of the first class/workshop day. Clients MUST complete the cancellation process themselves; log in to the website to complete your cancellation. 2. A 50% refund will be issued for all cancellations that occur more than 48 hours before, but less than 7 days before the start time of the first class/workshop day. Clients must email us at info@millenniumdogsports.ca to begin this process. 3. No refunds or credits will be issued for group classes/workshops that are cancelled less than 48 hours before the start time of the first class/workshop day. 4. By completing this registration, you agree to abide by the refund policies stated above.
