Description

This class is open for registration for anyone who has at minimum attended an Intro or Foundations level Rally Obedience class (6-8 weeks) at any location. Perch and target work help handler and dog learn navigate inside and outside turns, side-stepping and walking back in heel. Left and right side heeling games add an element of fun to traditional obedience training, while impulse control work encouraging dogs to maintain close contact with their handlers while navigating around, through and past obstacles and distractions. One of the key aspects emphasized in canine rally obedience class is impulse control. Dogs learn to resist distractions and temptations, allowing them to focus on their handler's cues and commands even in challenging environments. Students in this class can also expect to develop skills tested in the CARO Working class; barrel racing, retrieving, scent discrimination, directed jumping, position cues and more!. These skills not only enhance the dog's obedience level but also provide an added layer of fun! Session Length: 8-weeks Class Length: 1-hour or 1.5-hours Fee (includes taxes): $271.20 or $406.80 Pre-requisites: Puppies must be between 12 week and 12 months on the first class of the session.
