For handlers looking for training for their sports bound puppy...or just loving companion pet. This small group class will focus on both all the "good dog" training every puppy and dog should have to be a great pet, as well as fitness and sports foundation your puppy needs in order to grow into a successful sport dog. "Good Dog Training" Puppy socializing, crate training, place training, loose leash walking, impulse control, recalls, cooperative care (grooming/vet/nail trims), engagement games for working through distractions, neutral dog/human greetings, shaping training methods for traditional obedience behaviours and tricks. Those with pet dogs can re-enroll in this class until the puppy is 12 months of age; we continue to grow skills week to week. *Please note that “socialization” is not puppy play time, but rather healthy - neutral or positive - exposure to people, places, animals, things, environments, textures and sounds. “Sports Puppy Training” Everything from “Good Dog Training” but also age-appropriate fitness and foundation sports skills (rally, obedience, agility, field, tricks, disc, dock).
